Premade Groups to Queue Separately from Solo Players
According to Wowhead's coverage of the podcast, Blizzard revealed that players who queue for a Battleground solo will no longer be matched against premade groups. This matchmaking change, discussed in the most recent WoW: Forever podcast episode, aims to separate organized groups from solo queuers in Battleground matchmaking. As of the October 18 report, Blizzard has not released formal patch notes detailing the full scope or timeline of this change beyond the podcast announcement.
Honor Rewards Shifting Away from Alterac Valley
In an earlier podcast episode reported by Wowhead on October 15 2026, Blizzard stated plans to lower the amount of Honor earned in Alterac Valley while increasing Honor gained in all other Battlegrounds. The stated goal, per Blizzard's podcast remarks, is to adjust incentives across the Battleground roster. Specific numeric values for the Honor adjustments were not included in the available excerpt, and no official patch notes have yet confirmed exact figures or a release timeframe.
