WoW: Forever Beta Build Buffs Starter Gear, Hints at New Mounts
A new WoW: Forever beta build reported on 2026-10-16 upgrades several starting-zone white item drops to green quality, while separate datamining suggests new mounts, pets, and cosmetics may be on the way. Neither change has been confirmed by Blizzard, but both could affect how early leveling feels and what rewards players chase before launch.

Starter Zone Drops Upgraded to Uncommon
According to Wowhead, reporting at 2026-10-16 15:00 UTC, the latest WoW: Forever beta build changes several Common (white) items that drop in starting zones, upgrading them to Uncommon (green) quality. The outlet frames this as part of an ongoing pattern of item balancing players have observed throughout the beta, which has been running since September 17, 2026. No official Blizzard patch notes were cited confirming the exact scope of the change, and it is unclear which specific zones or items are affected.
Dataminers Spot Possible New Mounts and Cosmetics
A second Wowhead report, published at 2026-10-16 19:36 UTC, says the same recent beta build has revealed potential new mounts, pets, and cosmetics that could eventually be added to WoW: Forever. The outlet explicitly labeled the findings as spoilers and framed them as discoveries rather than confirmed additions. As with other beta datamining, these items are not guaranteed to ship in the final game, and Blizzard has not issued any statement confirming their inclusion.
